LIONS Club International Mutare, in partnership with Danish eye specialist Dr Finn Juncker and the International Health and Nursing Academy, has launched a free eye‑screening clinic at Sakubva Beit Hall.
The outreach seeks to provide comprehensive eye examinations and health advice to the residents of Mutare and surrounding areas. The event is open to everyone, with no appointment required, and organisers expect to screen at least 300 people, many of whom have limited access to eye‑care services.

Early detection of cataracts, glaucoma and refractive errors can dramatically improve quality of life.
The Danish eye specialist is being assisted by Opticare Opticians, an arrangement meant to ensure continued medication for patients residing in Mutare after he leaves.
The clinic underscores a growing trend of public‑private collaborations aimed at strengthening primary health services in Manicaland.
