NATIONAL team and Highlanders legend Madinda Ndlovu condemned fellow countryman Darlington Dodo to the unfashionable Division One when his Township Rollers prevailed 3-1 over Dodo’s Tafic.
With the emphatic win, Ndlovu kept alive his dream of landing his third championship on the trot in Botswana quite alive. He leads with three points with just two matches to wind up the season, while Dodo has to be cursing his gods after he dumped Township Rollers for Tafic last season.
With their demise, Tafic now have to regroup and strategise for next season while Ndlovu must already be preparing for Champions League football.
In Romania, former Caps United hitman Mike Temwanjira was the toast of the day for Vaslui with his 85th minute goal that condemned leaders Steaua to defeat and throw the title race wide open.
In the Czech Republic, former AmaZulu strongman Costa Nhamoinesu’s Sparta Praha continued with their march towards the league title with a well-polished performance that saw them emerging 3-0 winners over Slavia Praha.
Nhamoinesu, a regular in the team that saw national team coach Ian Dibango Gorowa giving him a call-up, are now 10 points at the top with six games to go.
It’s almost certain now that Vusa Nyoni’s Mons will be playing Division One football after suffering a 0-2 loss to Ovidy Karuru’s OH Lueven in the third match of their relegation play-offs.
