THE Bulawayo Metropolitan Province Darts League action will this week make way for a Legends’ Tournament that begins today and ends on May 1 at Parkview Club.The tournament is organised in honour of the league’s senior players.
Apinos Chirwa who is a committee member of Bulawayo Darts Association (BDA) said only league players will compete to claim top honours.
“Over 100 players are expected at the tournament. The Legends’ Tournament is an annual event that is growing from strength to strength as the league grows bigger each year,” said Chirwa.
He said prizes would be given to the winners at the end of the year when they would also be giving out prizes for those who would have performed exceptionally well during the season.
Highlanders captain, Julius Ncube said he looked forward to the tournament hoping that his players would do their best.
“This is going to be a tough competition that will see players from the same club going against each other. Players like Moses Ndlovu and Ndumiso Tshuma are veteran players that we expect to see competing against each other,” said Ncube.
Other players expected to take part include Archers captain Enerst Sibanda, Railstars’ Steven Bingandadi as well as Jackson Ndimande.
