THE Inter Mines Darts Council and the National Darts Association of Zimbabwe have named a strong seven-member team that will represent the country at the seventh Zone VI Mines Championships to be held at the Oakney Recreational Club at Sun City in South Africa from November 20 to 23.
The players made it into the team after trials, which were held at the Railway Block Community Hall in Shurugwi from October 25-27.
Seven Zimbabwean players were chosen to participate in this year’s event and the Inter Mines Darts Council of Zimbabwe chairman Reuben Chingono is hopeful the team will do well at this year’s event.
“The team was chosen on merit and we are confident we have the best players at our disposal in the team,” Chingono said
“The event had several players fighting for the slots and the team was trimmed,” he said.
