Two Chitungwiza men were on Wednesday jailed three years each, for breaking into a house and stealing property worth $530.
Fortune Chipiyo and Francis Chomusora (both 21) recently appeared before Chitungwiza magistrate Mrs Yeukai Chigodora charged with unlawful entry into premises in aggravated circumstances and theft.

They were convicted on their own plea of guilty.
Mrs Chigodora initially sentenced the duo to four years in prison each, but conditionally suspended one year.
Prosecutor Mr Norman Koropi proved that on April 30 at around 8am, Joseph Samudzi left his house locked when he went to work.

An hour later, the pair scaled over the precast wall and smashed the french door to enter Samudzi’s house.
They stole a 40-inch Samsung plasma television set, a remote control, UAV cables and a 7kg blue Cadac gas cylinder.
However, the two were caught in the act by Samudzi’s neighbours who saw them passing each other the loot over the precast wall.

They were subsequently handed over to the police.
All the stolen property was recovered.
