DC Academy win Power Net tourney

when they beat Dynamos juniors 1-0 in the final.
The tournament featured 12 junior football teams – Ali Sundowns, Arsenal, Mt Pleasant Academy, Hunters, Eagles, Sprouting, Sordbury, BN Academy, Star Track, Dynamos, DC Academy and Bristo.
Bristo were the only team from outside Harare.
BN Academy hosted the tournament as the curtain came down on the holiday coaching clinics they conduct during the school holidays.
The teams were grouped into two groups of six with Dynamos and Ali Sundowns progressing to the semi-finals in group A while in Group B BN Academy and DC Academy reached the semi-finals.
DC Academy dismissed Ali Sundowns 1-0 in the semi-final while in the other semi-final Dynamos beat BN Academy 6-5 on a penalty shootout after a goalless draw to book a place in the finals.
For their efforts DC Academy walked away with a floating trophy and medals.
BN Academy director, Bhekimpilo Nyoni, said the tournament was a success with the participating teams putting up a good show.
