TOP Zimbabwean golfer Brendon de Jonge will return to the field in the Honda Open at the Palm Beach Gardens in Florida, United States, tomorrow. Last year he finished tied on 29th place, in the same tournament, after a five-under-par having shot 68, 70, 73 and 72. The Honda Open has a handsome prize money of US$6 million and has attracted a strong field of 140 golfers with the winner taking home US$1 008 000.
De jonge will play alongside Curtis Ben and Brian Davies.
Meanwhile, Greg Bentley and Sheldon Steyn failed in their bid to qualify for the Tswane Open at Irene Golf Club in South Africa yesterday.
Micky Hough and Mohamed Mandhu pulled out at the last minute.
Bentley shot a three under-par, but it was not good enough to make the grade for the play-offs.
Steyn finished on level par and in 28th place.
