He has yet to win on the PGA Tour, although he has two Top 10 finishes this year and is among the 60 leading money winners. He went into yesterday’s second round tied with Americans Tim Petrovic, Jonh Mallinger, Bobby Gates, Briton Peter Lonard and Sunhoon Kang. The US$3,6 million tournament has 250 FedEx cup points. De Jonge opened the first hole with a par and then eagled the second and sank another eagle on the par five fifth hole.
Seconding it with an eagle before two consecutive pars.
The second round saw De Jonge sinking three eagles and six pars to finish on 65.
