Bosso hot-headed coach Hendrikus Pieter De Jongh has fired another broadside at Premier Soccer League referees, warning that he will never stop taking them on if they dish out what he calls “unfair decisions.”
With the 2025 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League campaign heading into its final stretch, Bosso travel to Harare this Sunday for a tricky clash against unpredictable Herentals at Rufaro Stadium.
“We will be playing against a good and very physical side. However, what we will demand and hope for is fair play. The referees and the linesmen need to be fair.
People would say Pieter De Jongh is always fighting with referees, I will not stop. I have coached in 14 countries and I will always stand my ground,” barked the outspoken Dutchman at Thursday’s press conference.

De Jongh is no stranger to controversy. Week in and week out, he is seen raging from the touchline, storming at fourth officials and engaging in heated exchanges that have at times earned him bookings and interventions from his technical team.
Asked about Bosso’s survival fight, De Jongh admitted the task was far from easy.
“Our target is to survive relegation but we are not the only side in that matrix.
There is Dynamos, CAPS United, Chicken Inn, Greenfuel, Manica Diamonds and Bikita Minerals. When I came here I knew the job at hand.
For now, we need to pick at least five points from the remaining five games,” he said.
His words come as the PSL hits fever pitch with just five matches to go and the survival battle tightening at the bottom.
All eyes will be on Rufaro to see if Bosso can collect precious points — and if De Jongh can keep his fiery temper in check.
