DEAD & BURIED!

MAYBE, just maybe, we can start saying that Dynamos are DEAD and BURIED!

The Glamour Boys slumped to what is now becoming a routine defeat, their FIFTH in 11 games, when they went down 0-2 to Triangle at Gibbo yesterday.

It was a sweet victory for Triangle coach Genesis Mangombe who was pushed out of Dynamos last year and ended up guiding Scottland into the Premiership.

That Triangle are second-from-the-bottom on the Premiership table would, in other years, have raised alarm about the nature of this defeat.

But, when one takes into account that Dynamos are third-from-the-bottom on the same table, maybe, it’s a defeat that should have been expected.

The statistics paint a horror picture:

· Dynamos have scored just ONCE in the 11 games with the other goal, which has been credited to them, from an own goal by an opposition player.

· In other words, DeMbare have scored just ONCE in 16 hours 30 minutes of Premiership action since the start of the season.

· If we use minutes, it means the Glamour Boys have scored just ONCE in the 59 400 minutes they have been in action this year.

· If we use seconds, it means the Glamour Boys have scored just ONCE in the 3 564 000 seconds they have been in action.

· Michael Tapera scored TWICE in four minutes for Scottland yesterday and this means he has scored more goals, in just two minutes, than what those who are employed by Dynamos have done all season in 16 hours and 30 minutes.

· Highlanders have scored 15 goals so far this season while TelOne also have 15 goals to their credit.

With such a poor scoring record, the good money was on Lloyd Chigowe’s men not scoring in the Lowveld yesterday and, as largely expected, they fired blanks again.

After scoring a goal in their 1-0 win over Simba Bhora at the end of March, MaBlanyo’s men have played seven games, which is 630 minutes, or six-and-half hours, without scoring a goal.

They failed to score against Manica Diamonds, Chicken Inn, MWOS, Kwekwe United, Green Fuel, Scottland and now Triangle.

They lost five of those seven matches and drew the other two.
