Deadly armed robbery leaves one dead, five injured at Harare construction site

ARMED robbers killed one person and injured five others in a raid at a complex under construction in Harare, getting away with $95 and four cell phones.

In a statement on X, police appealed for information which may assist in the investigation of the case, which occurred at a complex under construction along Hillside Road Extension, Msasa, Harare on 16 July

“Three unknown suspects entered the complex through an unlocked gate and attacked six complainants and the security guard, Elliot Mudzingwa (32), with logs and steel bars. The suspects stole US$95 and four cell phones before fleeing the scene in their getaway car. The security guard succumbed to the injuries sustained during the attack”.

Police said anyone with information should report at any nearest station.
