ZIMBABWE aims to attract three million visitors to its pavilion at the Osaka 2025 Expo, Zimbabwe Osaka Commissioner General Mr Allan Majuru has said.

Mr Majuru was addressing delegates at a two-day National Multi-Stakeholder Expo 2025 Osaka in Bulawayo today.

The meeting is to gather stakeholders’ inputs into the planning process and disseminate information on Expo 2025.

Zimbabwe is participating in Expo 2025 Osaka under the Connecting Lives Zone and will exhibit under the national theme “Beyond the Limit.”

The event will be held in Japan from 13 April to 13 October 2025, focusing on the theme “Designing Future Society for Our Lives.”

Zimbabwe also expects to ride on the global platform to market its unlimited tourist attractions, apart from a major drawcard, the majestic Victoria Falls.

In his presentation, Mr Majuru said the expo is projected to attract 28,3 million visitors and Zimbabwe’s pavilion is expected to receive 3 million visitors.

On the objectives of participation, he said it is a platform to “promote the Brand Zimbabwe campaign through showcasing our social, and cultural diversity, to promote Zimbabwe’s trade and investment opportunities as well as tourist attractions to visitors at the expo and to re-engage with the international community.”

On expected outcomes, he said it is hoped that the participation will increase in tourist arrivals by 15 percent per annum, resulting in an increase in trade deals by 10 percent annually and forging new partnerships among other expectations
