Police on Saturday recovered the decapitated torso of an unknown man in a bushy area next to Kadoma Ranch Motel. Mashonaland West Provincial police spokesperson Inspector Clemence Mabgweazara confirmed the incident, saying investigations were in progress. Insp Mabgweazara said the body was discovered by a security guard who was on duty at the hotel after he smelled an odour while patrolling.

As he went into the bushy area, the security guard saw the body of the male adult which was at an advanced state of decomposition.

The security guard alerted Kadoma police who attended the scene. There were identity particulars.

Police observed that the body was lying on a foam rubber covered with a blanket. The man was putting on a green jacket, black T-shirt and a blue pair of trousers.

It is alleged that various skirts of different colours and a baby red cap were also found near the body.

During a search of the area police found the head lying about 10 metres away from the body.

The body was taken to Kadoma General Hospital mortuary for post mortem.

Insp Mabgweazara appealed to members of the public who might have information linked to the incident to report to the nearest police station.

He also appealed to those with missing friends and relatives to report at Kadoma police station.
