THE ZIFA Harare Province Division Two A and B League have received a shot in the arm after Dees’ Diary boosted the sponsorship for the region’s knockout tournament.
The Mvuma-based dairy company partnered with the region last year with a US$10,000 sponsorship for the tourney.
This has now been increased to US$15,000 this year.
The sponsorship deal will be unveiled in the capital on June 21 with all the 40 teams expected to grace the occasion.
Robert Tembo, the league chairman, hailed the sponsors.
“We are delighted to announce that Dee’s Dairy, who are in the business of yoghurts and ice creams, have committed to sponsor this year’s ZIFA Harare Province Division Two League knockout soccer tournament.
“We are happy that they have increased the purse money from last year’s US$10,000 to US$15,000.
“We will have all the 40 teams taking part in a knockout tournament which we will launch on June 21 before it will kick-off later this month.
“We are grateful to Dee’s Dairy, who have partnered us, and the winning team will walk away with a significant amount of cash, trophy and medals.”
Meanwhile, the league’s Munhumutapa semi-finals are set for tomorrow.
The big one should be between Scottland Academy and GG Grassroots Academy.
