Defenders receive kit boost

METRO Rugby League side Police Defenders yesterday received a timely boost ahead of the season kick-off when they were handed a playing kit from a local elevator company Clovgate at the Police Sports Club.Clovgate sponsored both the men’s and women’s sides with the kit that comprised of T-shirts, shorts, socks, boots and rugby balls.

Clovgate technical executive director Bruce Steele said it is an honour to be part of the Defenders enhancement towards their rugby season.
“Clovgate is proud to be donating the rugby kit to the Zimbabwe Republic Police Defenders Club. It indeed gives us great honour to be associated with the team and rugby as a sport.

“The relationship that we have now established with the ZRP Defenders will also go a long way in raising our flag high as we are broadening our horizons to the entire region.” said Tigere.
