Del Bosque to quit

MADRID. — Spain coach Vicente del Bosque confirmed on Monday that his retirement is “close” and that next year’s European Championship is likely to be his last major soccer tournament.

However, speaking at the launch of his book “Winning and Losing” at the headquarters of the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) outside Madrid, Del Bosque said he would have discussions before making a final decision.

“My retirement is close. If everything goes according to plan it will be the end,” Del Bosque said of Euro 2016, when Spain will seek a third consecutive European Championship. — AFP.
