Delta Beverages, through its Sable lager,  has committed to  supporting the history-making Zimbabwe Rugby flagship side, the Sables, ahead of the 2027 Rugby World Cup.

The triumphant Sables were treated to a welcome party by the beverage maker  in the capital on Friday afternoon, which committed its support to the Rugby World Cup to be hosted by Australia.

Delta Beverages Marketing Director Irimayi Muzorewa stated that the company, through its Sables brand, is committed to supporting the national rugby team in their journey to the 2027 Rugby World Cup.

“It is a privilege to welcome you all to this momentous occasion as we gather to honour our champions—the history-makers, the back-to-back Rugby Africa Cup winners of 2025! Thank you for joining us in celebrating this incredible achievement.

Our dedication to advancing rugby in Zimbabwe is unwavering. Through Sable Lager’s sponsorship of the Sables, we’ve proudly stood by these remarkable sportsmen since the brand’s launch in 2022.

What began as a leap of faith has grown into a powerful partnership, and we will continue to support the Sables on your journey to the next RWC in Australia,” said Muzorewa.

Zimbabwe qualified for the Rugby World Cup for the first time in 34 years, having last qualified for the global rugby showcase in 1991.

Ahead of their qualification, the Sables received an incentive boost of US$100 000 from President Mnangagwa.
