DELTA Beverages, through its flagship Castle Lager brand, has started distributing 100 hospital beds across the country as part of a nationwide initiative aimed at supporting public healthcare institutions
The latest handover took place yesterday at Victoria Chitepo Provincial Hospital in Mutare, where the company donated 10 modern hospital beds.
Speaking at the handover, Delta Beverages regional sales manager Mr Julius Chirara said the donation was part of Castle Lager’s 10th anniversary of National Castle Lager Braai Day .
He said through the programme, thee company was giving back meaningfully to “the provinces that participated and made our milestone celebration a success”.
“Delta Beverages remains committed to supporting national development and investing in the well-being of the communities that form the foundation of our success,” he said.
He said the company believes healthcare institutions play a critical role in national development and deserve support from the corporate sector.
“We truly believe that this donation is a fitting way to show our appreciation to the communities we serve, while also playing a part in supporting and advancing public healthcare,” said Mr Chirara.
He added that the Mutare handover marked the third of 10 provincial donation ceremonies expected to take place.
“We trust that this donation will support your ongoing efforts to deliver quality healthcare and enhance patient comfort across your facility,” he said.
Receiving the donation on behalf of the hospital, Medical Superintendent Dr Hilary Makiwa said the hospital greatly appreciated the partnership with Delta Beverages. Public health institutions continued to require improved equipment and infrastructure to cope with growing demand for healthcare services.
