DeMbare appoint data analyst

DYNAMOS have appointed Desmond Mhene as a data analyst.

He will drive the club’s use of data to help players and the technical team deliver success on the pitch.

Mhene is a long-time friend of Nyasa Big Bullets coach, Calisto Pasuwa.

He was working behind the scenes when Dynamos claimed four titles during Pasuwa’s tenure with the Glamour Boys.

Pasuwa also took Mhene to Malawi where he has won four league titles on the bounce with Nyasa.

Mhene is also expected to work closely with the recruitment department.

He said his friendship with club coach, Herbert Maruwa, has seen him enjoying a soft landing at the club.

“I have worked with Maruwa before and besides, we are friends, we understand each other and that will make my job easier,” said Mhene.

“I’m here to show what I can do and my wish is to see Dynamos winning the championship.

“Everyone is pulling in one direction and it’s very encouraging because it shows we are speaking with one voice.”

He hailed Pasuwa for convincing him to become a data analyst.

Local clubs are still struggling to hire such experts due to financial constraints.

Dynamos’ new executive is leaving no stone unturned to give their technical team all the support they need to return to the glory days of the past.

Club chairman, Moses Maunganidze, has indicated that they are going to use all available resources to become a force again.
