HARARE giants Dynamos are back in business and will next month tour Malawi where the team will play a number of friendly games in preparation for the 2018 season.
Before heading to Malawi for the pre-season tour the Glamour Boys will camp at a yet to be disclosed location for a bonding sojourn.
a?We have six new players in the team so itas important that they bond with the rest of the squad hence we have organised a camp before leaving for Malawi.
a?If the team can play three or four friendly matches in Malawi then our preparations for the upcoming season will be right on track,a? Dynamos president Kenny Mubaiwa told B-Metro Sport.
The decision to offload five players a King Nasama, Musa Madhiri, Carlos Rusere, Takunda Sadiki and goalkeeper Ashley Reyners a was not an overnight resolution.
Talented but unruly midfielder Denver Mukamba was spared the axe.
a?We have a points system that we use to rate players from training sessions, match day performances and even their behaviour off the field so thatas how we arrived at the decision to offload the players,a? said Mubaiwa.
The axed players were replaced by six new signings a Jimmy Tigere, James Marufu, Raphael Manuvire, Marvelous Mukumba, returnee defender Blessing Moyo and teenager Panashe Mutasa.
Panashe is coach Lloyd Mutasaas son.
The Glamour Boys so far have a provisional squad of 27.
a?Itas all about quality and not just bringing in players to make up a full squad of 30 so we are not under pressure to add more signings. We might just add one more player to the list that we already have,a? added the lanky administrator.
The 2018 season kicks off on 10 March with 18 teams fighting for the coveted Castle Lager Premier Soccer League title.
