DYNAMOS FC are staring down the barrel after the Premier Soccer League (PSL) slapped them with disciplinary charges following the dramatic abandonment of their league clash against FC Platinum at Mandava Stadium on Sunday 22 June.
The blockbuster Castle Lager Premier Soccer League tie degenerated into chaos after tensions boiled over on the touchline. The match was halted before full time, and now the PSL is demanding answers from the Harare giants.

In a press release issued on 25 June, the PSL said:
“Dynamos FC is being charged with causing the abandonment of a match and ungentlemanly conduct by the team’s technical officials.”

Dembare head coach Saul Chaminuka has also been dragged into the firing line. He stands accused of not just fanning the flames but torching the rulebook.
“His charges include disturbing the normal proceedings of a match, causing abandonment, ungentlemanly conduct and issuing reckless statements to the media likely to bring the game, sponsors, the League, ZIFA, CAF or FIFA into disrepute,” reads the statement signed by PSL Communications Officer Kudzai Bare.

The dramatic showdown at Mandava erupted after a series of refereeing decisions saw Chaminuka and his technical team storm the pitch in protest, forcing match officials to call off the game amid rising tensions.
The disciplinary hearing is set for Tuesday 8 July 2025 at 5:30 PM at the PSL offices.
