DYNAMOS fans are optimistic about a successful season ahead of the 2025 league and the Castle Challenge Cup at Rufaro Stadium this Saturday.

Dynamos will face Castle Lager Premier Soccer League champions Simba Bhora.
Despite the departure of several key players, including captain Frank Makarati, Emmanuel Paga, Sadney Urikhob, and the Moyo twins, Kelvin and Elvis, DeMbare supporters remain confident that the team’s new signings will help maintain their competitive edge.
Bulawayo Chapter member Simon Dobie believes the squad is well-balanced, considering both the new arrivals and the players who have remained at the club.
“The team is formidable, with a mix of experience and youth. We are ready for the final and expect a win. I believe the team is shaping up well, although we are still assessing based on the potential at our disposal. I think the squad has what it takes to perform well this season,” said Dobie.
Another DeMbare fan, Courage Sibanda, shared similar sentiments, acknowledging that losing key players was a setback but expressing faith in the new signings.
“It’s going to be a tough game, but I believe Dynamos will emerge victorious. As fans, we are the 12th player, and we will help our team to victory,” said Sibanda.
However, Ushe Mazvita noted that Simba Bhora’s international pre-season preparations put them in a stronger position.
“Dynamos had some issues with player strikes, but the team has always risen to the occasion in big matches like this one,” said Mazvita.
Dynamos have made several changes, including the addition of 21-year-old Ghanaian forward Frank Agyemang, as well as Leeroy Mavhunga, Tapiwa Masango, Tellmore Pio, and Farai Mutatu.
The club has also reshuffled its coaching staff, bringing back former player Ronald “Gidiza” Sibanda as team manager and appointing ex-Harare City coach Mark Mathe as assistant to head coach Lloyd “Mablanyo” Chigowe.
Ticket prices for the Castle Challenge Cup are set at $3 for general admission, $5 for the grandstand, and $10 for VIP seats. The VVIP stand is strictly by invitation.
As the first major match of the season approaches, both teams are preparing for what promises to be an exciting and competitive clash, with Dynamos fans hopeful for a strong start to the 2025 campaign.
The Premier Soccer League season will officially kick off on 1 March.
