The Mighty Bulls dominated the match for the greater part of the first half but missed chances before DeMbare hit them with a debut goal by Clive Kawinga in the second half.
Tawanda Muparati then struck a fine effort to give his side the insurance of a win.
Dynamos coach Callisto Pasuwa saluted his men for their brave hearts.
“We have got six or seven defenders in our squad but five of them are injured and two went away with the national team to Malawi,” said Pasuwa.
“So we now have to field a makeshift team and I am happy with the boys who played although they were some questionable moments when they failed to do the basics.
“We started the season very slowly, picking up a number of draws but I am happy for the team because the guys are now beginning to pick up maximum points.
“But I am worried by the injuries we have in our camp and right now we have 17 players from the 30 players who are registered on the injury list.
“We will talk to our doctors and see if we can rectify the problem before the next match.”
Kawinga was thrilled to break his goal duck at DeMbare.
“We still have a chance to catch up with the log leaders but it’s not easy. We have to work hard because there are more matches to play and every game for Dynamos should be like a cup final,” said Kawinga.
“We had a lot of injuries and then tried to push Thomas (Magorimbo) and (Stephen) Alimenda in central defence as well as the other guys who are not regular defenders.
“Fortunately for us the result came our way despite all the shuffling of the players.”
Kawinga scored on the day his grandmother celebrated her birthday and he dedicated his goal to her while his cousin Denver Mukamba watched from the stands.
Motor Action coach, Joey Antipas, said Muparati’s goal was top drawer stuff.
“Tawanda’s goal was something. I cannot complain about that one,” said Antipas.
“I think we still have got a whole lot of work to do to get away from that zone on the log. I believe if we get our act together, we will get out of the zone we are in.”
It was also a fruitful weekend for CAPS United who overcame FC Platinum 2-1 at the National Sports Stadium and their assistant coach Brenna Msiska said they still have to fight for the title as dark horses.
“From us as coaches, we say so far so good this season. This is a new team and we still want these youngsters to gel,” said Msiska.
“Otherwise if we give them more time, they will do something much better.
“We are aiming for the championship and not just for the top four finish because we are already among the top teams.”
‘Keeper Tafadzwa Dube was outstanding in the match and saved a penalty taken by Nelson Maziwisa.
During the match Dube also visibly lashed out at his defenders for their poor concentration levels.
“We should not continue conceding penalties each and every time. This season, I think I have conceded more goals through set pieces, especially penalties,” said Dube.
“It’s because we tend to sleep at times when we are defending.
“If we look at the game against Dynamos, he (Ronald Pfumbidzai) caused the penalty and we lost and against FC Platinum he conceded again.
“So I told him gently that he (Pfumbidzai) pushed Maziwisa but he was denying that yet I was so close and it was very clear that he pushed,” said Dube.
But despite the defeat to CAPS United, Tenant Chilumba said they will recover from the temporary setback that saw them dropping eight points from the last three matches.
Chilumba said his team was going through a rough patch and were lacking concentration in defence that has skipper Daniel Veremu, Zambian international Aaron Katebe and the Moyo twins Elvis and Kelvin Moyo.
“We are still on the right track. This is a young team so we will continue working hard.
“I think we have lapsed for now, failing to win three games in a row, which is bad for us but we will continue working hard,” he said.
