DeMbare to invade City of Kings and Queens

Mines and Mining Development Minister Obert Mpofu is expected to be the guest of honour and   will give the keynote address  during formalities to be held at Ayobar bar.
The visit will also be in memory of four of their fans who died in a road traffic accident at Filabusi turnoff on their way to the blockbuster Castle Lager Premier Soccer League match between Dynamos and FC Platinum at Mandava Stadium.

The organisers were still mooting the idea of visiting the fatal place to lay some wreaths. Organising secretary for the Dynamos Bulawayo Chapter supporters, Clifford Nyakutsikwa, said all was set for the rare occasion.
“It’s all set for the visit by the entire DeMbare first team players and the executive. We will parade the championship trophy, the Mbada Diamonds Cup, as well as trophies won by individual players like Washington Arubi, George Magariro, Denver Mukamba and Roderick  Mutuma,” said Nyakutsikwa.

Arubi won Goalkeeper of the Year as well as the Footballer of the Year award, Magariro was one of the 11 Footballers of the Year finalists. Mukamba scooped the Rookie of the Year, and Mutuma had the most lethal boots with 14 goals.

Nyakutsikwa said the proceedings, which will be under tight security, are expected to start as early as 8am with the road show before speeches later on.
“We would like to invite our supporters and members to respond positively and come to meet, chat, dance with our players and have autographs signed for them,” said Nyakutsikwa.
