CHAMPIONS Dynamos, who will leave this morning for Triangle, will temporarily set up a base outside the capital in a crucial week which may shape up their league title challenge. They face Triangle in a top-of-the-table clash at Gibbo tomorrow before another away game against Tsholotsho over the weekend.The Glamour Boys will only return home next week.
After tomorrow’s game, they will be in Masvingo before proceeding to Bulawayo on Thursday afternoon.
They play Tsholotsho at Luveve on Sunday.
Yesterday the team had a light workout at their training session.
Assistant coach Gift “Umbro” Muzadzi emerged to say it would be a busy week which they could make or break their campaign for another league title.
“I think it is a busy week for us and we don’t have easy matches, it is Cup games week in and week out and if you look at other teams their attitude change when they are playing us as they would be fighting more unlike when they play other teams.
“I think we have a very busy week and we have to prove that we are champions for sure as we would have to grind the results, especially playing a team at the top and a team at the bottom.
“If we get all points inside a week we would be happy but we must also know that we are playing teams that are competing well.
“The title race is still open and anyone can win it. There are quite a number of horses but it is about consistency now as matches are getting fewer and a point dropped will dent chances and a point gained is also crucial but it’s just important to collect maximum points.”
The former Dynamos goalkeeper who makes a return to Lowveld where he served as assistant to Biggie Zuze in the last two years said he knows what they are up against tomorrow afternoon.
“It is a game that both teams would be fighting to win. If we win it would be added advantage and we would be at par with Triangle.
“We are going to give them a good run for their money. I have been there for two years and it is good to be back at Triangle.
“I understand their culture. For the past two years when I was there their squad didn’t change much, they still have the same players and that is why they are doing very well, the players have been together for some time now and they have gelled.
“We need to work hard if we want to win. They don’t give up easily,” he said.
Dynamos welcome back skipper Augustine Mbara who was suspended and did not feature in the last match.
And Muzadzi said luckily their players didn’t pick some serious knocks and everyone was likely to be available for selection in tomorrow’s clash.
