Strikers Rodreck Mutuma and Simba Sithole are way on trials in South Africa.
The only striker in the side, Farai Mupasiri, missed training because of a back problem while Partson Jaure was advised by the team doctor to sit out yesterday’s training to recover from a swollen ankle.
Leftback Ocean Mushure is also recovering from a swollen knee and he started light training alongside Sydney Linyama.
DeMbare did not break for the weekend as they played their first warm-up game against Black Rhinos on Saturday, using a depleted side.
Midfield hardman Makopa is out as he is still trying to gain full fitness.
With Mutuma and Sithole expected to complete trials on Friday, it means Dynamos may have to go through their drills this week without their frontline if the club fails to secure funds to pay loan fees for the release of Francesco Zekumbawire from Hwange.
Dynamos are not sure if Mutuma and Sithole will return and coach Pasuwa yesterday said the uncertainty and the injuries were disrupting their preparations.
Mutuma is trying his luck at Bloemfontein Celtic while Sithole has been invited by SuperSport United.
“We have about four players down with injuries and we are hoping they will be back in training soon.
“But it doesn’t work well when you cannot have all the players in training at once.
“It becomes tricky.
“There are new players coming in and right now we are doing the drills with them but the fact that others are injured and some are out of the country means when they return we will have to do it all over again,” said Pasuwa.
However, the championship-winning coach was full of praises on his latest addition Boban Zirintusa who joined the squad at the weekend after delaying his arrival from his home in Uganda.
Zirintusa is a midfielder-cum-striker who made his name playing at Division One side Twalumba.
“In terms of fitness he is up there. It shows he has been training hard all along despite joining us late when we had already started preparations for the season.
“Boban is not an outright striker. We have been playing him in midfield just behind the strikers and I have observed that he is technically good.
“He is also very disciplined and it appears he is a player who is focused on his job and gives everything in training,” said Pasuwa.
DeMbare, who face South Africa’s Mamelodi Sundowns in a friendly match early next month, will begin their campaign in the preliminary round of the Champions League against Lesotho Correctional Service over the weekend of February 15-17.
