Midlands, Zimbabwe – THE Deputy Minister of Transport and Infrastructural Development, Joshua Sacco, officially commissioned a 12km stretch of the Shurugwi- Mhandamabwe Road, marking a significant milestone in the ongoing road rehabilitation efforts under President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s national Emergency Road Rehabilitation Programme.

The project, which is now 50 percent complete, aims to enhance connectivity and boost economic activities in the Midlands region. This road is a critical link for local communities, facilitating access to markets and essential services. The rehabilitation initiative is part of a broader effort to improve infrastructure across Zimbabwe, addressing longstanding issues related to road conditions that have hindered transportation and trade.

As the Government prioritises infrastructure development, this project is expected to play a crucial role in fostering regional development and improving the livelihoods of residents in the area.
