Dhewa, Tryson clash at Magamba Hall

Hall in Warren Park tonight.
The resilient musician will be out to prove that although he is battling cancer, nothing will stop him and take away his position as one of Zimbabwe’s top musicians.

To prove this, Dhewa has been staging sold-out shows around the country and his fans in Harare should whet their appetite for what promises to be a gig to remember.
Another plus is that young Dendera prodigy, Tryson Chimbetu, who has been doing rounds with Alick Macheso lately, will this time be partnering Dhewa.
Macheso will be performing in South Africa this weekend.

Dhewa and Tryson’s combination would be a match made in heaven considering that fans will have a variety of musical dishes to sample from.
Tryson’s graph has been rising and those who have watched the young musician perform at national music galas and other shows, will attest to the fact that Tryson is not a push-over.
Partnering household artistes like Dhewa has worked wonders for Tryson who is promising to be the next big thing to happen in local music circles, that is if he maintains that status.

So it will be the affair at Magamba Hall tonight, where music lovers will witness that Tryson is without doubt the heir apparent to the music mantle left behind by his late father, Naison.
Show promoter Joe Munyebvu said he was convinced that the show would be sold out, considering that the two artistes had not held a show in the area for some time.
“We are trying to give people variety in music and I know the combination of Dhewa and Tryson will come good.

Tryson is expected to dish out some of his songs taken off his album “Bvamrod”.
While Tryson will be engrossed in his different act, Dhewa will be in charge, and the man knows how to commandeer his crowd into frenzy.

His choreography on stage is something else, what with his dancers who are never shot of surprises.
His “Officer” dance has become a favourite of many while a new one called “Simudza Gumbo” is also expected to entertain people at the show.
Apart from the dances, Dhewa is expected to belt out some of songs featured on his latest album, “Toita Basa” and many from his previous albums that propelled him to greater heights.
