SONGBIRD Diana Samkange gave a much hyped performance during the launch of her new album “Gungwa Ndiyerese” at Dreams Night Club over the weekend, leaving the crowd hungry for more.

The event was a corporate one, held under strict adherence to Covid-19 regulations, where Diana launched the album and the Diana Samkange–Mangwenya brands.

Clad in an all-black outfit, Diana gave an energetic performance, sending the crowd into ecstasy, singing along and dancing to the melodies.

The album launch was supported by various corporates and artistes who also gave thrilling performances, much to the enjoyment of the fans.

Diana also thrilled fans recently where she performed live with the band at Jasen Mphepo Little Theatre as Mangwenya.

She was also supported by various artistes who took to the stage and gave exhilarating performances.

The event was streamed live on Facebook for the benefit of those who could not attend as the numbers were limited because of the Covid-19 regulations.

Diana’s manager Stacy Vee Chihwa said they were happy with the support they received from their fans, the corporate world and other artistes who came to support the album and brand launch.

“The launch at Dreams was for the high- end market just to put a clear illustration that Diana and Mangwenya are two different people,” she said. “Diana can be in clubs, can perform anywhere and can be a modern performer.

“Mangwenya was in a theatre and we are glad that a lot of artistes came through to support. They were in a mood to give the crowd the best of their performances. They delivered as a team, helping each other to entertain the fans.”

Diana has also been engaged by Borehole Clinic as their brand ambassador and they pledged to supply bottled water to guests at all her events.
