Speaking about time off Diana said: “I am quite excited to spend quality time with my family and friends particularly as this is my first experience since joining the music industry to take time off. Actually I appreciate everyone who has managed to come — it means a lot to me.
“I am enjoying every moment of it. It’s special time.”
It was evident from the way Diana mingled with her family, young and old, rich and poor, all could be seen interacting with the diva who accommodated them all.
Son Wandipa could be seen on the dance floor enjoying what seemed to be his favourite dance — clocking the knees to his mother’s music which also proved familiar to him.
Speaking on her new release, an eight-track album which is both afro jazz/tradition album “Kumazivandadzoka”, Diana was excited that her music has been appreciated by all age groups and she said it gave her the encouragement to carry on.
The diva is, however, quite versatile as she can swing from jazz, urban grooves and now into afro jazz/traditional.
