THE Internet Society Zimbabwe Chapter (ISOC-ZW) is set to take internet governance to the people, hosting a power-packed School of Internet Governance Boot Camp at Solusi University from 1 to 2 May 2025!
Under the bold theme: “Empowering the Underserved, Minority, Youth and Women in Shaping Internet Governance in Zimbabwe,” the camp promises to shake up the digital landscape, giving marginalised groups a voice in shaping the nation’s tech future.
Mrs Charity Ncube, ISOC-ZW’s Head of Policy and Governance, said the boot camp is the second phase of a pioneering programme.
“Participants first earned fellowships through an online course. Now, the best of the best will meet face-to-face to take their skills to the next level,” she revealed.
The two-day blitz will tackle hot topics including affordable internet access, emerging technologies like AI, Blockchain, IoT, green computing, and the burning issue of cybersecurity.
“We want these future champions to make real impact — from crafting policies locally to representing Zimbabwe on global stages like the Internet Governance Forum,” said Mrs Ncube.
The initiative cements ISOC-ZW’s mission to put the voices of women, youth, and minority communities front and centre in the country’s tech revolution.
Zimbabwe’s digital destiny is about to get a serious upgrade — and it starts at Solusi!
