Dilizaa��s stiff fight for album release

Dilizaa��s Stiff face a hard fight to get their debut album released, with many artistes of higher profile in the star studded Kalawa Jazzme stable also looking to get their albums released before the scramble to release hits as the festive season beckons.

After the release of their festive season hit Umcimbo late last year, all eyes were on how the group would use the success of that single to finally get an album release date. Halfway through the year however, the three-man group has only released one single which came last month.

The single titled Awe Ma, was produced by DJ Nqo of Gobisiqolo fame and it remains to be seen whether it will have the same impact as the groupa��s breakout single.

In an interview, the groupa��s frontman Diliza revealed that things were not all rosy in the Kalawa Jazzme studios, with the Stiff trio trying to find their way in a crowded roster of artistes all scrambling to have their albums released.

a�?Things are very busy this year in comparison to last year. This is the year when most artistes will be releasing their albums. Busiswa, Professor, Uhuru are the other artistes besides us who are all looking to release their albums,a�? he said.

The kwaito wordsmith said despite the scramble, they were almost done with their debut project.

a�?Wea��re now finalising the album and so basically wea��re putting the final touches on the project,a�? he said.
