A dinner catering to both married couples and singles, to address rising divorce rates and foster stronger relationships, is set to take place on August 24 in Bulawayo. The event is being organised by Celestial Catering and Events.

Organiser Meluleki Matshazi explained that the dinner party at Tholumuzi Lodge (Sauerstown) aims to curb the increase in divorce rates in Bulawayo while creating opportunities for individuals to bond and support one another.

“The aim of the event is to help curb the divorce rate in Bulawayo and create connections between people. We also want to offer the youth, who are not yet married, something to believe in and encourage them to pursue a meaningful future.

“Our goal is to empower people to support one another and build healthy relationships,” said Matshazi.

Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about maintaining healthy relationships and ways to avoid gender-based violence in marriages. The event is also open to artistes who are interested in performing, with both up-and-coming and established artistes encouraged to participate.

“We also hope that after this event, the youth will be inspired to follow their dreams and be empowered,” Matshazi added.

Celestial Catering and Events also envisions growing their initiatives to address broader social issues, including drug and substance abuse among youths, and plans to explore opportunities for opening rehabilitation centres.
