HARARE City coach Masimba Dinyero is confident his team will survive relegation this season. The Sunshine Boys face a tough tie against CAPS United at the National Sports Stadium on Sunday.
“We are, obviously, going to survive relegation but that is if we can overcome CAPS United and other results go in our favour,” said Dinyero.
“The guys are working hard at training as it is everyone’s wish to survive the chop.”
The Harare City gaffer said they will fight until the very end.
“The game will be tough but we are preparing well for it. We are going there prepared for a tough match and hoping for a good result,” said Dinyero.
“It is not going to be easy for us playing a team which still has hopes of winning the league depending on Saturday’s result.
“But we are going to do our best to win the game and increase our chances of survival.”
Dinyero’s team will miss, at least, five players, through injuries and suspensions, in a game they need to win after having been sucked into a relegation dogfight in recent weeks.
“We are in a tricky situation,” conceded Dinyero.
“And things are not well as we are to start some new combinations for the CAPS United encounter.
“We will miss the services of Martin Vengesai, who is out for the whole season due to a back fracture, and David Kutyauripo, Munyaradzi Nyenye and James Jam who are suspended.
“We will be trying new combinations and I hope that will work for us as we battle to survive. Many teams need to escape the chop.”
