Diouf attacks Gerrard

LONDON. — Former Liverpool flop El Hadji Diouf has reignited his feud with Liverpool icons Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher. Diouf, who scored just six goals in 79 games for the Reds after a £10million move in 2002, has hit out at the ex-Anfield pair, as well as long-time rival Neil Lennon. In an explosive interview with French magazine So Foot, Diouf has declared that Gerrard was an “egotist” who didn’t care about Liverpool winning. And he called former Reds defender Carragher, who spent 17 years in the club’s first-team, “the biggest turkey I’ve seen on a football pitch”.

Diouf is no stranger to controversy, and has previously accused Gerrard of racism and jealousy, while dismissing Carragher as “nothing”.

Now, the former Senegal international, who also played for Bolton, has taken the opportunity to have another blast at the pair. — The Mirror.
