Disappearance of Ike Sibanda Raises Concerns in Upper Rangemore

Sunday News Reporter

The community of Upper Rangemore is in shock following the mysterious disappearance of Ike Sibanda, a prominent figure among a group of local boys. Sibanda, along with fellow leader Brian Moyo, had recently made headlines for their decision to refrain from participating in local political rallies, a stance that has now raised serious concerns among residents.

According to a local resident, who wished to remain anonymous, the group had come together and decided to adopt an apolitical stance.

“They felt it was best not to engage in the political turmoil that often disrupts our community,” the resident explained. “However, this decision was misconstrued by Zanu-PF supporters, who took it as a direct affront.

This led to Ike and Brian being targeted.”

The resident further expressed alarm at Sibanda’s sudden disappearance, linking it to the group’s political stance.

“Now that Ike has gone missing, we can’t help but worry that this could be connected to their refusal to attend party rallies. It’s a frightening thought,” they said. Concerns are also growing for Brian Moyo, who hails from Lupane, Ndimimbili village, but moved to Bulawayo in search of better opportunities.

“We’re all worried about Brian’s safety now. He’s in a vulnerable position, and the last thing we want is for him to suffer the same fate as Ike,” the resident added.

As the community grapples with these unsettling developments, calls for more information and support are echoing throughout Upper Rangemore, as residents seek answers and safety for their youth. throughout Upper Rangemore, as residents seek answers and safety for their youth.
