NOMINATIONS for the Silver Slipper listed race meeting pencilled in for 15 June at Borrowdale Racecourse are out.

A disappointingly lean field of four horses has been thrown into the hat to battle for a place in the final line up. The race has $9 000 as declared stake money to be handed over to the winner as well as the next three-placed runners to fly past the winning post.

According to the racing manager, Betina Gurajena, the final acceptance stage will be conducted tomorrow morning. All stables that have forwarded nominations are expected to converge on the venue to see their horses either sail through or bite the dust.

Once the  final stage is done trainers will have a clear picture on which of their horses have made it into the final list and in turn return to their respective stage to work of the tactical approach of the race.

From the entries submitted the highest ranked nominee is Mia Finola from the yard of Bridget Stidolph who is outstanding by a wide margin after being accepted highly rated at (74). Her nearest rival is her stable mate Missy Franklin way below at (46).

The other stable that put forward a single nominee is the Kirk Swanson Yard which threw into the hat a single nominee. If this runner fails then followers of horse racing will be treated to an unopposed Stidolph show come race day.

Altogether there is a combined total of seventy two (72) horses for seven races have been nominated for all the races set for the day.
