DJ C-Live son dies in fire accident

Hip-HOP DJ and producer C-Live, real name Clive Shabalala, has been involved in a fire incident at his home in which his child died. The DJ, father to 11-year-old Nadiff (who unfortunately perished in the blaze) and six-year-old Funeka, is currently in a serious condition at a Johannesburg East Hospital. The DJ’s mother Virginia Shabalala confirmed that the Club 808 producer is currently undergoing treatment in their hi-care facility.

The DJ’s friends and well known media personalities have taken to Twitter to express their condolences and offer prayers for Shabalala and his family.

“God gives the toughest battles to his strongest soldiers @C_Live.

“May you find strength, may you find peace.

“You’re in my thoughts & prayers,” wrote Bonang Matheba.

“My sincere condolences to C-Live and his family! I pray that God be with u, protect u and bring u back to your family, friends & supporters,” said R&B singer Vusi Nova.

“Prayers to you and your Family Bhuti,” said DJ Black Coffee.

The cause of the fire is still unknown at this stage. – Sowetan.
