POPULAR Bulawayo and Power FM DJ Emity Smooth has been dragged to court by his baby mama over the maintenance of his one year seven month old child.
The silky voiced Emity Smooth, real name Mthokozisi Ncube, was quick to solve the issue out of court by sweet talking Eveline Phiri, to agree to $80 monthly maintenance.
When they appeared before magistrate Adelaide Mbeure on Thursday, Phiri told the court that they had settled their matter outside the court room.
“He promised that he’ll be giving me $80 every month without fail and I’m content with the amount,” she said.
Magistrate Mbeure, after confirming the two had agreed, said: “It’s important that you pay the money as you’ve agreed. If you fail to do that, the mother of your child has the right to come back to court and sue you for contempt of court.”
Mbeure ordered the DJ to start paying maintenance from the end of May.
