DJ Luckerz releases ‘Tinoenda Kudenga’

.
The gospel album comes after a three-year sabbatical by the musician who has since changed his surname from Mabhandi to Chatsama.
Mabhandi’s last album, titled “Zambuko Redenga”, was released in 2008.
But is his latest seven-track album that is enjoying massive airplay on radio stations that promises to do well on the charts especially with the title track “Tinoenda Kudenga”.
The song, taken off the Salvation Army hymn book talks about the Kingdom of God and Judgment Day.
Listeners must look forward to songs like “Vimbai NaJesu”, which encourages God-fearing people to have faith in the Lord in whatever they do.
“Gadziriro” advises people to prepare for the second coming of Christ while on “Muchengeti Wangu”, DJ Luckerz assures music fans that God always protects them from evil.
Other tracks to expect are “Rumbidzwai”, “Ndamirira Jesu” (a Seventh Day Adventist song).
Besides singing, DJ Luckerz’ love for music has seen him turning into a fulltime turntable master playing at private parties and weddings.
He said being a DJ did not in any way affect his relationship with God.
DJ Luckerz used to play football for Mhangura Football Club before switching to music when he moved to Harare where he formed a group called Step to Christ, which he is still working with.
With his group, DJ Luckerz recorded his first album, “Vakaropafadzwa”, in 2001 and four years later he unleashed “Huyai Kuna Jesu”.
He says he admires and gets inspiration from the grandad of gospel music, the evergreen Mechanic Manyeruke.
