Multi-award-winning club wheel spinner DJ Mzoe has been unveiled as one of the creatives who will headline this year’s edition of the annually held Madirirano event slated for April 19.

The much anticipated national event will be held at Zimbabwe Grounds in Highfields, Harare. So far, artistes who have been unveiled to perform at the gig are Young Gemini, King Shady, King Her, MC Banso, Andile Brown, Don Family and Noluntu J. More artistes will be unveiled with time.

DJ Mzoe said he was happy to be travelling to the Capital for the show.
“It’s always great to perform in Harare as I always get good vibes and energy and as I heard for Madirirano, I am super excited to be among the performers at the celebrated event.

“This is a huge gig, one that has evolved with time and to be associated with such greatness is a huge move for me as we have gone national. Those who will attend have to brace themselves for a stellar set like always,” said Mzoe.
Organiser of the event Simbabarashe “Bodyslam” Chakare said they were working around the clock in making sure that this year’s event is flawless.

“Preparations for Madirirano have already started, and I am happy to say we are heading in the right direction. We have unveiled some of the acts who will perform, and we will be unveiling more as we approach the event,” said Chakare.

The Madirirano event was created in 2013. It started as a house party in Highfields, and over the years, it has evolved to become one of the biggest showbiz events in the country.

Despite being hosted in a high-density suburb, there is an upmarket aura about it, which makes it attractive to affluent patrons.
This ghetto affair has bridged the gap between the so-called “South of Samora” (up-market of Harare) merrymakers and their northern counterparts.

The last edition of Madirirano had over 5 000 people in attendance but organisers are expecting significantly more considering the hype surrounding it.
