BOTSWANA-based female wheel-spinner, DJ Sanchez, is making strides in the neighbouring country.
Having started her dejaying career in 2013, she has become one of the most sought-after female wheel-spinners in the country.
She has also started an events promotion company involved in bringing in top acts from Zimbabwe and South Africa.
Her recently-held annual bash dubbed “Amhlophe Party,” which featured Uncle Epaton and Prosper Fi Real, was a success.
“Botswana has been good for me,” she said.
“At the moment, they are promoting and encouraging women’s empowerment, so that has been very helpful.
“My annual Dj Sanchez Africa Bashment Party was a success, attracting people as far from Harare and Johannesburg.
“Many thanks to my promotions company for such a great event.
“We have more events lined up and we hope to get better with each event.”
Born Sakhile Ncube- Mathe, Dj Sanchez teams with another Zimbabwean, MC Smallz, when she does her sets.
The versatile emcee, who was with Red Fox Sound, relocated to Botswana.
“I have been in Botswana for a while now, thanks to Dj Sanchez who has incorporated me in her sets. I am loving the vibe and support here (Botswana) and I am positive there are more great days ahead,” said MC Smallz.
