Game Recognise Game DJs – Nyasha “Ash Stylez” Kada and Kevin “Nivek” Hakata have started spinning decks at gospel concerts. The versatile duo was featured at the recently held Christ TV Awards where they left a lasting impression using poplar gospel tracks with house.
Apart from playing music, Ash Stylez and Nivek who are also on Star FM’s roster, were deejaying for gospel rapper Mudiwa.
“Christ TV was an eye opener for us to expand our deejaying territory because we love what we do. We got overwhelming feedback that we should continue with the new thrust. Already we have shows lined up for November and December,” Nivek said.
He said the two come from a strong Christian background and that when they play at gospel shows it’s not just for the fun of it but also a way of praising the Lord.
“We are grateful for the talent that God gave us so we praise him through deejaying at gospel concerts,” he said.
The combination of Nivek and Ash Stylez is a formidable one since the two complement each other on the decks.
As a big fan of gospel one would not be disappointed when they mash it up with other genres.
Both Nivek and Ashy Stylez have toured in and out of Zimbabwe including Malawi where they left an indelible mark on the club scene.
So far the duo has released a number of hot mixtapes which are available for free downloads.
Game Recognise Game who have clinched a dressing arrangement with Jan Jam Men’s Boutique have been looking at diversifying their portfolio beyond club wheel spinning.
