Docudrama on President premieres

said the docudrama sought to highlight the struggle faced by President Mugabe from Britain in a bid to empower the black people in the country.

“Mugabe and Black Empowerment, is based on true life struggles of President Mugabe and his fight with the West over Zimbabwean land and mineral resources,” he said.

The one-and-half-hour project traces how Britain failed to meet its end of the 1979 Lancaster House accord.
“In ‘Mugabe and Black Empowerment’ we pick up the story from the time the Tony Blair led-British labour government reneges on the 1979 Lancaster House Agreement.

“Those clips are interspersed with those of President Mugabe in response to Western stance. We also have re-enacted clips of the Zimbabwean people as they toyi-toyi to get back their mines and land,” he said.
