Doek & Slay tickets scam exposed

Hundreds of Doek and Slay fans were turned away at the weekend after falling victims to fake ticket outlets.

The event which attracted more than 13 000 women was held at Alex Sports Club on Sunday.

According to a statement from the Doek and Slay Facebook page, some fans had their tickets confiscated at check-in because security believed they were fake.

Reports are that they found 708 fake tickets and 1452 fake tags.

“Askana, I believe you now see why we kept advising you not to purchase tickets from individuals and the outlets we did not specify haaa tarwadziwa kukuonai muchichema.

“How does it feel to be unable to attend an event because of a fake ticket?

“We found 708 bogus tickets and 1452 phony tags, and we turned them back home.”
