SoundCloud
To begin with, soundcloud is a great social network to discover and share new music. It is the trendy application of the week and geez go download it now.
Anyone who has a SoundCloud account can upload or record something, which is then hosted for free on SoundCloud and can be accessed by anyone. The “waveform” is the visual time frame of the recording, with timed comments that pop up over the course of the recording when other users leave them for you.
You can comment on other recordings, add them to your favourites and mention other users. The Web: SoundCloud makes it easy for you to share recordings on other social networks like Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, your blog and more. Most of hip-hop upcoming artistes are using the platform. Recently Bey shared her tracks on SoundCloud.

What is keeping the teen urban world abuzz this week? Young people especially teenagers are missing out on an exciting art in the urban culture, Graffiti.
The art which involves writing or drawing on walls and other surfaces in public places with spray paint is not being fully embraced by local youths according to street artiste Aero5ol.
Speaking to Cool Lifestyle last weekend, the artist said there is more to graffiti than just rebellion, fun and games.
“Graffiti as an art might still be fairly very new here but is more popular in countries like South Africa and the United States. Besides showcasing talent it promotes the youths’ engagement with their society. When done properly, it is also a positive way to let out steam,” he said.
While some prefer to associate graffiti with the Western world, it is very much African as its roots stretch as far as ancient Egypt according to Aero5oul.
“You might remember also that in our country, before the technology buzz, our people used this art to show their way of life through rock paintings.
“The concept is still the same except that modern day youths use mostly spray paint to sketch on bridges, buildings or pre-cast walls. It is not limited to telling life stories but can just be about carving names or signs. However, no matter how petty a person’s work may be in the eyes of people, every painting tells a story,” said the artist.
The next time you think about getting creative on walls, remember to follow the laid down procedures to avoid problems.
“Graffiti is illegal if it is practised in forbidden areas. Be sure to get permission or practice on areas that are reserved for that. It is also uncool to paint over another artiste’s work,” he said.
In teens who are out and about this week: Six of the country’s leading junior golfers will travel to Cape Town, South Africa to compete against 120 other international finalists at the Curro South Africa Junior Championships early next month.
Jack Allard, Justin Kersten, Kieran Vincent, Mbongeni Maphosa, Stuart Krog and Travis Smith will represent the country in the 54-hole World Junior Golf Series on March 3–6.
The Zimbabwe junior team has big shoes to fill from last year’s delegation that produced Benjamin Follett-Smith who finished at number four.
