DORADOS East swimming club coach Masi Takaedza says they are looking at building on the positives from the Ecocash National Sprint Gala held last Friday and Saturday in Bulawayo.
The club was ranked fourth with a combined team score of 234 behind Spartans, Vikings and Stingrays Swimming Academy.
Takaedza said the meet gave them a clear picture of where they are and areas to improve.
“It’s given us a clear picture of where we are as a club early on in the season.
“From here, we will focus on improving skills like starts, turns, and underwater work, while also building race confidence and consistency across events.
“The results were encouraging, but what stood out most was the enthusiasm and hunger to improve. That’s something we will definitely build on as we prepare for the next block of competitions,” said Takaedza.
Dorados East had the likes of Callum Chisholm, Jasmine Moulder and Adrian Bhana making the top spots in some of the events while rising Jude Moss also posted some interesting results.
“Overall, I am really pleased with how our swimmers performed at the National Sprint Gala.
“For many of them, especially the juniors, it was their first big national event, and they handled the pressure very well.
“We saw a lot of personal best times, and great team spirit throughout the weekend,” Takaedza said.
