OUTSPOKEN poet Dr Gasolo is progressing well with his walkathon as he has reached Gwanda town having left his rural homestead at Matshetsheni in Gwanda North rural in the morning.
The walk will continue tomorrow morning where Dr Gasolo will travel and rest at Esigodini before concluding the next day in Bulawayo.
In its third edition, the walkathon aims to promote the creative sector while raising awareness about the dangers of drug and substance abuse.
Along the way, Dr Gasolo has been mingling with villagers and motorists to spread the objective of his walkathon.
Speaking from Gwanda, Dr Gasolo said he is astonished with the support he has received and hopes that the objectives of the walkathon materialise a success story.
“The journey is progressing very well. I left home at exactly 06am and arrived in Gwanda town at 12pm. Presently I’m at Miracle Records studios were I was given a warm welcome. The Zimbabwe Republic Police (Gwanda Rural) have been checking up on me along the way and they are in full support of the walk,” said Dr Gasolo.
