UNITED-KINGDOM based Pastor Calvin Sawasawa is set to host South African gospel singer, producer, songwriter, physician, Tumishang Makweya popularly known as Dr Tumi, in what is anticipated to be an ignited night of contemporary worship tomorrow (Sunday).

The talented artist who has the grace to heal from both the spiritual and the medical perspective, Dr Tumi was born and raised in Seshego, a township outside Polokwane, Limpopo, South Africa.

Dubbed ‘Word Worship Explosion’, the worship session will also feature local gospel group Vocal Ex together with Snowy. Worshipers will get an opportunity to worship with Dr Tumi who is coming to the City for the first time.

With the service free of charge, the Family of God Auditorium will see worshipers being lifted to another dimension, according to Pastor Calvin.

“We are having a service tomorrow which seeks to ignite the city in worship. We want to bring back contemporary worship into the city,” said Pastor Calvin.

Contemporary worship means worship that is appropriate and meaningful for people who are living now. The Unshakable Pentecostal Church pastor described Dr Tumi as a renowned contemporary worshiper, who is an influential worshiper hence worshipers will be taken to a different level of worship.

“We want to lift worship in the city up to another dimension of worship. Dr Tumi is influential in contemporary music. Most of his songs are anthems. I am based in the UK and we play his songs there,” said Pastor Calvin.

Son to Bishop Haney  Sawasawa who founded the Unshakeable Pentecostal Church movement, Pastor Calvin vowed to continue with his father’s legacy.

“I grew up under the influence of worship and we will continue with the Sawasawa legacy. We want the church to be relevant to the times we live in hence we have invited a prominent contemporary figure to worship with,” said Pastor Calvin

The service is set to start at 1730hrs and end at 2000hrs.
