Drag race draws record crowd

THE third Bulawayo Motoring Club drag race contest held yesterday at the Victoria Falls Road Circuit attracted a record crowd with thousands thronging the event to watch the motoring races.
The Harare drag racers and bikers added sparkle to the event as they engaged in a car spinning spectacle which wooed the ecstatic crowd especially what Spin Kid real name Shannon Mayer and his father Isaac did on the tarmac leaving the crowd in awe because of their car spinning antics.

BMC chairman Ian Gutherless said that the competition was tight as the number and quality of competitors who registered was remarkable.

Bulawayo biker Dave Marsebeg ruled the day as he was the fastest winning the top spot with a time of 10.38 sec and it was Harare car racer Mano Zevgolis who clinched first place winning with a time of 12.01sec.
